NW JRGT Mini-Tour General Information
NW JRGT Mini-Tour Facts:
* Open to boys and girls in grades K-8
* Divisions: K alone, 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 (if we have enough players, each grade will be its own division)
* Tournaments are 18 holes for Grade 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, and 7-8 divisions. K players have the OPTION to play either 9 or 18 holes.
* Courses: Par 3 and executive courses in Puget Sound region
* Entry fee includes green fee and a small tee prize
* Merchandise award prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in each division, as in other JRGT events
* Caddies are REQUIRED for ALL players in the Mini Tour
* Gallery, such as friends and family, are encouraged to come out and
support the players
The mission of the NW JRGT Mini-Tour is to provide children
with the following opportunities:
* Learn to appreciate and enjoy competitive golf
* Develop tournament golf skills in a competitive but supportive environment
* Prepare for future participation in tournament golf (e.g. JRGT, WJGA)
* For those with advanced skills, build experience and qualifications
for entry into regional, national or international competitions
The NW JRGT Mini-Tour is designed for children who:
* Are capable of playing at least nine holes of golf (under adult supervision)
* Understand the basic rules of the game
* Are interested in participating in tournament golf with children of
similar abilities and interest
